5.16 数式番号について

複数の式をひとまとめして、副番号をつける subequations 環境というものがある。

 & \frac{\D x}{\D t}=f(t,x)\\
 & x(0)=x_0
\end{align}
\end{subequations}

数式番号は、デフォールトでは章ごとに番号付けられる (例えば 1章の2番目の式に (2), 3章の4番目の式に (4))。

• 数式を節ごとに番号付けたい場合は、プリアンブルに

  %%%%%%%%%% 式番号を節ごとに
  \makeatletter
    \renewcommand{\theequation}{%
     \arabic{equation}}
    \@addtoreset{equation}{section}
   \makeatother
  %%%%%%%%%%
  

  と書けば良い。
• 数式の番号に章の番号も添えたい (1章の2番目の式には (1.2) という番号をつけたい) 場合は、プリアンブルに

  \makeatletter
  \@addtoreset{equation}{section}
  \def\theequation{\thesection.\arabic{equation}}% renewcommand でもOK
  \makeatother
  

  と書けば良い。
• 数式に「第◯節の第△番目の式」というように番号をつけたい場合は、

  \numberwithin{equation}{section}
  

  と書けば良い。1節の2番目の式に (1.2) という番号がつく。
